Grace and Grit: What It Takes to Be a Peacemaker in Work and Life

These days, publicly calling people out and being ‘woke’ is in vogue. So is confrontation and lack of compromise. This has to stop! Of course, we might work with others who are tone deaf when interacting with us. Of course, our family gatherings might be fraught with stress due to politics and difficult, long-standing dynamics.

But here’s the deal... Someone has to be the adult in the room. Someone has to lead the way, and that someone is you.  

This session is all about giving you the tools you can use in your personal and professional lives to be the “adult in the room”…to stop the wars and to bring lasting peace so that you too can change the world.

Learning Objectives:

• Distinguish between being a peacemaker and being a pushover.
• Embrace both the three key challenges and three key benefits of peacemaking.
• Engage in the “Grace and Grit Process” through a case study and personal scenarios

Meeting Safety Plan

• Touch Free Check-In: FSAE staff will check you in for the meeting. There will be temperature checks for each attendee before entering the meeting space.
• BYO-Nametag: Bring Your Own Nametag! We will have stick-on options available on-site if you need one.
• Masks Are Required: Make sure to bring your mask! All staff and attendees will be required to wear a face mask. Masks must be worn at all times unless eating or drinking. If you forget your mask we will have a few available at the check in desk.
• Box Lunch: Attendees will have a choice of two boxed lunch options, prepared for your safety and convenience.
• Socially Distanced Set-Up: All tables will be set socially distanced and we will have hand sanitizer available at each table.
