Hosted & Sponsored by Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa USF Near Busch Gardens The Power of an Inclusive Mindset1 Hour CAE Speaker: Sylvia Gonner, CAE; CultureWiz Let’s forget the Golden Rule our parents taught us: treat others the way you want to be treated. Living in our increasingly diverse environments requires us to instead use the Platinum Rule: treat others the way they want to be treated. That’s the first step in developing an inclusive mindset, a powerful asset to succeed in a world where diversity is everywhere and impacts everything. Interacting with people from different races, genders, ages, nationalities and cultures is the norm whether at work, in our communities, or while traveling. Organizations are increasingly undertaking diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives as they understand the value of diversity. But what can we do on a personal level to develop the inclusive mindset needed to adapt and navigate our differences? This fun, interactive session will explore the habits we need to form to unlock the power of inclusion and thrive in a diverse world. Come prepared to be transformed and to become a champion for inclusion! Sylvia Gonner, CAE, founder and CEO of CultureWiz is a business advisor, trainer, speaker, blogger, and facilitator specialized in international management, global growth, intercultural competencies, and global diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Originally from Europe where she grew up in a multicultural environment, Sylvia speaks 6 languages, has worked on all continents, and has interacted with many cultures while traveling to more than 70 countries. Following her extensive career in global association management, she founded CultureWiz to provide consulting services in international business development, and to train teams and executives in cross-cultural relations and communications.
