Leadership sessionLeading Through Emotional Intelligence

Russ WebbRuss Webb, CAE; Bay Area Apartment Assn

We all have stressful situations to deal with every day and there is nothing we can do about it.... right? Not necessarily.

In this session you will learn how your reaction to challenging situations can be proactively altered by understanding your emotional triggers. Having a better grasp of our emotional intelligence allows us to conquer the situations that would have controlled our responses. Learning how your brain develops your typical response and how to adapt those responses will make your life easier as well as for those you interact with at work & home!

We will dive into how to handle stress, and tricks you can use to help those around you do the same. This session is good for everyone, but especially those who manage others with diverse personalities. Join us to talk about understanding EQ, learning about triggers, and how to engage the safety switch to stop that trigger from pulling.

Russ Webb, CAE is the Executive Director of the Bay Area Apartment Association, having moved to the Tampa Bay Area in 2020 after 21 years of managing the Atlanta & Georgia Apartment Associations. For nearly two decades Webb has taken on the challenge of a constituency of more than 2000 member companies and is passionate about helping other organizations reach their potential. A tech junkie and speaker extraordinaire, Russ is a teacher at heart and the originator of edu-tainment – making people laugh while learning.
