This Session, FSAE is closely watching bills on predatory public records requests and, of course, the data demands stemming from the Pitbull agreement with VISIT FLORIDA. Join First Amendment Foundation President Barbara Petersen to keep these issues and more in the Sunshine for all Floridians.

Barbara Petersen has been president of Florida’s First Amendment Foundation since 1995, and was previously a staff attorney for the Joint Committee on Information Technology Resources of the Florida Legislature, where she worked exclusively on public records legislation and issues. Petersen served as chair of Florida’s Commission on Open Government Reform, and was appointed by Senate President Don Gaetz to a government transparency task force.   A passionate advocate of the public’s right to oversee its government, she has provided open government training to thousands of government officials, public employees, citizen action organizations, and reporters across Florida.

What is the Executive Series Luncheon? 
The Foundation's Executive Series Luncheon is a sponsored luncheon exclusive to association executives. The luncheons are held in Tallahassee, Florida several times each year. Special speakers shed light on issues regarding Florida government such as finance, economic situations, etc. All FSAE executive members are invited to attend and the luncheons are free.
