**Suitcasing Rule Applies - Tradeshow entry is not included for Associate/Supplier Members. If you would like to attend the tradeshow, you have to register as an exhibitor or share a booth and have it indicated on your registration form. Associate members that purchase a Full Registration are in no way granted the right to solicit business in any way; that right is reserved exclusively for our exhibitors who have purchased tables. Anyone found violating this policy will be escorted from the Expo area.
What is Suitcasing: Suitcasing is a parasitic business practice in which unethical companies will gain access to an event by obtaining some type of event credential (attendee badge, expo-only badge, etc.) and then solicit business in the aisles or other public spaces used for the conference.

AI That Actually Works: Practical Tools for Association Professionals
Adam Rosen
Artificial intelligence isn't coming for your job — but it is coming for your to-do list, if you let it. The problem isn't that AI is too complex. The problem is that most people don't know where to start.
This session cuts through the noise and gets practical. We'll look at the AI tools association professionals are using right now — to draft communications, summarize data, prep for meetings, streamline recruitment, and reclaim hours each week. No coding required. No tech background needed.
You'll leave with a clear mental model for where AI adds genuine value versus where it falls flat, a short list of tools worth your time, and a 90-day action plan for integrating one AI workflow into your work without a major overhaul. The goal isn't transformation — it's traction.

Beyond the Ballroom: Events that Drive Year-Round Revenue
KiKi L’Italien
Events are often seen as one-time revenue spikes, but the most successful associations treat them as year-round engines for both income and influence. In this session, you will learn how to design event strategies that extend their financial and relationship impact long after the closing session. We will cover how to build multi-touch sponsorship packages, repurpose event content for ongoing engagement, and connect attendees with your organization through post-event programming. By the end, you will have a framework to turn every event into an ongoing revenue generator that strengthens your connections with members, sponsors, and partners throughout the year.
• Build event models that deliver value before, during, and after the main experience
• Expand sponsor engagement through sustained touchpoints
• Tie event outcomes directly to broader organizational growth goals
The Reset Test
Mike Pennington, CAE
What if your association didn't exist yet — would you build it the way it looks today? The Zero-Based Association framework challenges leaders to strip away institutional inertia and evaluate every program, service, committee, and resource allocation as if starting from scratch. Inspired by zero-based budgeting, this session gives participants a practical tool for asking the hardest question in association management: "If we didn't already do this, would we start now?" The result is a more intentional, mission-aligned, and financially sustainable organization.
Participants will learn how to:
- Apply Zero-Based Thinking to Association Programs and Services: Evaluate existing offerings against current member needs, strategic priorities, and resource capacity — not historical precedent.
- Identify Mission Drift and Resource Misalignment — Surface programs and structures that exist because 'we've always done it this way' rather than because they drive value.
- Build a Framework for Ongoing Strategic Review — Develop a repeatable, data-informed process for periodic evaluation of the association's full portfolio.
- Engage the Board in Reset Conversations — Understand how to facilitate governance-level discussions around discontinuing, modifying, or doubling down on key priorities.
- Balance Innovation and Stability — Learn how to apply zero-based thinking without creating organizational chaos — making change manageable and defensible.
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM- Keynote Luncheon
Own Your Culture: The Owner's Mindshift: Build a Culture Where People want to Buy-in
Greg Hawks
In our world of work today the diverse structures of in-office, remote, and hybrid create numerous challenges for fostering a healthy culture. Greg shares a successful blueprint for designing a place everyone wants to invest their best!
We frequently use phrases like “we want you to buy in” or “we just need you to own it.” What exactly that means looks different to everyone. All workplaces have people who think and act like Owners, Renters, or Vandals. Owners make big commitments, continually increase value, reach for responsibility, include others, and see the big picture.
- Discover how to persistently add value, regardless of your position in your work life.
- Understand how to strategically foster inclusion throughout an organization
- Grasp why Vandals are enabled to remain in an organization

Budget like a CFO: AV Without Surprises
Cameron Magee
Rather than focusing on equipment or technical jargon, this session reframes AV as a strategic planning discipline. Attendees will learn how to identify the true cost drivers behind AV proposals, recognize where risk typically hides, and ask better questions during the budgeting and RFP process. Cameron also shares practical frameworks planners can use to forecast costs more accurately, communicate clearly with vendors, and explain AV spend in language leadership understands.
This session is designed for meeting planners who want fewer last-minute surprises, stronger credibility with stakeholders, and more confidence navigating AV conversations without a technical background. Participants will leave with a clearer understanding of how to protect their budgets, advocate for realistic expectations, and build trust with both their AV partners and internal decision-makers.
