The 2023 Women's Summit was a huge success! We had our highest-ever Summit attendance and great speakers and discussions. Here's a recap:
- 89 total attendees - 44 traveled to attend and 8 were men
- 100% of our survey respondents said they learned something to implement professionally or personally
- Education overall was rated Good to Excellent by 86% respondents with two of the four sessions rated 96% Good to Excellent
- Final Attendee List Login Required
- View Event Photos - Thank you Copeland Productions!
- A Few Key Take-Aways:
- I enjoyed all of the presentations, but Michelle Mason's presentation on purpose resonated with me personally and professionally. I have often experienced imposter syndrome even though ultimately know I am more than capable of excelling in various personal and professional ventures, but taking the time to "get over myself" and my anxieties helped with my perspective on who I am.
- Two favorite quotes were from Shelly Weir: "Put your highest heels on and put on your brightest color dress" People remember what is different about you. And from Teri Carden: "Pick dammit, it's not your last meal" when faced with tough decisions. There will always be another decision to follow.
- Motivated to move past the things holding me back
- Be intentional when speaking - quality over quantity
- I loved having the opportunity to meet new people and the panel discussion was so informative, lively and entertaining!
- I left feeling inspired, supported, and motivated. Fantastic event.
- Maybe the best one day event I have ever attended!

Association and business leaders are frequently called upon to speak—to champion a new product, program, or service, to inspire team members to achieve their goals, to deliver feedback to employees, or share organizational best practices as speakers and panel participants. To generate the results they seek from their communication, leaders must navigate through real (and at times, self-imposed) barriers to communication success. In this bold, playful, and timely keynote, award-winning author and transformational speaker, Alexia Vernon, will show you how to speak with moxie and sculpt persuasive communication so that people are eager to say yes to you and to your ideas. You will demystify the key components of vocal empowerment and discover simple ways to speak with credibility, likability, and engender trust, whenever you open your mouth to speak.
2:30 - 3:30 pm Closing Keynote: What if I Really Can Fly
Dr. Stevie Dawn, Unstoppable Success
Remember that time, when you were a child, when you believed in magic? As adults we have our own power, maybe not invisibility, but we are able to do amazing things at work and at home. Maybe you have a "way" with graphic design, color-coding spreadsheets, or the gift of sales. Leaning into your self-power not only makes your life happier, but it makes you more productive. Learn how to identify your power, break free from the inner critic that holds you back, and learn how to use teamwork to make the dreamwork. A motivational message that will teach everyone how to FLY!
