Nominations for FSAE Board of Directors

Board Nominations Open April 1 - 22, 2026
Board Elections are May 28 - June 11

Now is your chance to be part of the leadership that moves the association industry forward. The FSAE Nominating Committee is seeking nominations (Self-Nominations only) for individuals with leadership and management experience to serve on the Board of Directors.

Members of the Board provide leadership, a shared vision and sense of mission and are responsible for the fiscal health of our organization. We are looking for leaders with:

  • proven performance and a commitment to the organization

  • time and ability to serve

  • understanding of team work; communication and mentoring skills

  • sound judgment and integrity

  • enthusiasm and the ability to be a strategic, visionary thinker

To apply, please review the criteria below and complete your nomination application by April 22, 2026. Board terms begin at the Annual Conference in July. Applications not submitted by the April 22 deadline will not be considered. No exceptions will be made.

2026-27 FSAE Board of Directors Nominations

Available Seats and Terms: three (3) Directors At-Large 3-year term and one (1) Associate Director At-Large 2-year term
Directors at Large are Executive Members who work in Associations or AMCs
Associate Directors at Large are Associate Supplier Members who do not work in Associations or AMCs

Criteria to Serve: A minimum of two years of active engagement with the Society prior to nomination; and within the last five years having served on an FSAE or Foundation Committee, chaired an FSAE or Foundation Committee, or have served in an elected position on the FSAE Board of Directors. Based on the FSAE Bylaws there are no board seats available for the 2026-2027 FSAE Board for individuals from an association management company (AMC). If you are an AMC, you are encouraged to apply next year. In accordance with FSAE Bylaws and Robert’s Rules of Order Newly Revised, members of the nominating committee are not barred from becoming nominees for office themselves. 

Board Meetings/Time Commitment: The FSAE Board meets in-person three times per year: at Annual Conference, in November with the Central FL Power Luncheon and Feb/March in Tallahassee. There is usually one virtual May meeting with additional virtual meetings as needed. In-Person meetings are typically half-day meetings and virtual meetings typically one to two hours.
