New Nonprofit Guidelines for Presenting Financial Statements

The not-for-profit accounting world has remained consistent for the last few years.  The FASB has recently issued Topic 958 for Not-for-Profit Entities regarding the presentation of financial statements.  The majority of the reporting is effecting not-for-profit entities with temporarily and permanently restricted net assets.  However, there are other changes that may affect your entity.  Come and hear a brief summary of these upcoming changes and get some of your other reporting questions answered.

Allison Harrell is a CPA and audit shareholder with Thomas Howell Ferguson P.A.  She leads their not-for-profit industry group and spends her year auditing not-for-profit and governmental entities.  She recently finished her term serving on the American Institute of CPAs Government Audit Quality Center and is beginning her appointment with the AICPA’s Not-for-Profit Expert Panel.
