BELIEVE!

The scoreboard said it was over. The crowd grew quiet. The odds were against them, and time was running out.
But the NY Knicks never stopped believing.
Possession by possession, they fought back. Not because they knew they would win, but because they refused to quit. They believed that as long as there was time on the clock, there was still a chance.
Life is the same way.
Maybe you’re behind in life. Maybe you’re behind on your goals. Maybe you’re carrying setbacks that make the finish line seem impossible to reach.
Keep going.
For association professionals, that message is especially powerful. Membership may be decreasing. Conference attendance may be lower than expected. Financials may be strained. Unexpected expenses may have appeared out of nowhere. The pressure can feel overwhelming, and it may seem like the odds are stacked against you.
Don’t give up.
Every member retained, every new member recruited, every sponsor secured, every volunteer engaged, and every innovative idea implemented is another possession. Momentum can change faster than anyone expects.
The greatest comebacks don’t happen because people are ahead. They happen because people refuse to surrender when they’re behind.
The Knicks’ historic Game 4 comeback is a reminder to all of us: It doesn’t matter how far you’re down. It matters how much you still believe.
Never give up. Keep fighting. Your next possession could change everything.
A great comeback story always starts when everyone else thinks it’s over.
